 KICB Continues to Support Talented Youth

KICB has opened the annual application process for the scholarship named after Mr. Kwang Young Choi—a distinguished financier and KICB’s first Chairman of the Management Board, who mentored generations of professional bankers.

The scholarship was established on August 19, 2024, to honor Kwang Young Choi’s legacy and forms part of the bank’s social mission to support talented young people.

The competition is held annually, with applications accepted from August 1 to August 31, inclusive.

Please note that the scholarship is awarded to students from Kyrgyzstan solely to cover tuition fees for one academic year at educational institutions within the country, up to a maximum of 1,000 US dollars (or the equivalent in Kyrgyz soms). The scholarship may be renewed for subsequent years of study, provided the recipient maintains a satisfactory level of academic performance.

KICB is confident in its ability to support young people who are committed to personal and professional growth but face challenges in accessing educational resources.

Who can apply:

  • Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic aged 16 to 24;
  • University applicants with an ORT score of 150 or higher;
  • Young people without parental care, those who are socially vulnerable or in need of financial assistance, and those from single-parent or large families or with disabilities.

This year, applications must be submitted exclusively online. Further information is available at the link.
